shangri-la hotel fees So i came across checking out shangri-la hotel's rates, and services they offer. However, on the fine prints it saids: "Subject to 10% PST, 5% GST and 1.5% Destination Marketing Fee" Is this the case for all hotels in BC? destination marketing fee?! |
Yup, every hotel in Vancouver (not all of BC) charges that as of June 2008. It's used to support the advertising done by Tourism Vancouver. Most major tourism cities use it. |
