You'd think a place with such prestigious cars would have a better name than just "Ben's"...

^ I think the Mustang GT is more out of place
I was looking for a C63 in the ad to say it's out of place, but it wasn't on there

that is why if you see ppl driving a car in hk, they really have the money to be able to own it. just the 200% tax alone means the cost to own a car, parking, and maintenance is pretty high up.
finding good quality used cars is tough as well. Quote:

These shady car dealers are out making a killing, that's all there is to it.
Also used cars in good condition are abundant, just bear in mind that
HK is a peninsula so if it's too old it'll rust
HK is hot, so anything Italian is going to catch fire, then the French overheats, finally the Germans.
HK roads are crappy (better now but used to be really crappy) and if you buy 15 year old cars be prepared to replace all suspension components.
HK car shops may weld 2 crashed cars together just for kicks.
HK cars (especially Europeans) have calibrated odometer. But if you know your Cantonese and act accordingly you can most likely get the actual km out of the sales person.
but on the plus side
HK cars are often maintained to the best standards adhering to the factory recommendation because maintenance labor is dirt cheap
Parts are also dirt cheap so you are likely to find many nice aftermarket bits (albeit probably dated) on the car sold to you because taking it out is more of a hassle than buying another one
The registration system shows how many owners have owned it since it was first registered so you can't go wrong in that department.

200% tax is the rough estimated "actual car worth" price.
so say you buy a civic in hk. converted back to CAD, its roughly about 40,000. a civic here of the same model and options would be worth around 20,000. the 200% rough estimate is used by a lot of ppl to find out the actual car worth. Quote:

at 7.xHKD to 1 CDN cars in HK barely gets over Canadian retail (don't forget we are talking about after taxes, so 12% here and 65% in HK, which reflects how much of a deep cut the dealers here are getting)
It all depends on the retailer to sell them at a the price they want. And cars here are not getting cheaper at all (whereas the States are enjoying cheap ass new cars).
