roaming charges?

hey i am in van and just received a storm 2 from the states, i noticed that for data settings while roaming was set to on, when i turned data while roaming off all my calls were unknown. When i switch it back to roaming my call display works again. I was wondering if i keep it set at roaming on will i get charged? Rogers is kind of a pain about these things.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------i just talked to rogers rep and she said i should not get charged but she sounded like she wasn't sure, checked my account and there were no additional charges there but hse says theres a delay in charges for 24 hours so call back tommorow to make sure.

anyone positive?

Shouldn't get charged.

The phone thinks that it is a US phone and because of this, it is saying you are roaming. By getting Roger's signals, the phone naturally believes it is out of place when in reality it isn't. Doesn't matter what SIM card you put in it, if it is receiving another signal, it thinks it is out of place.

You should be fine. The GFs phone does the same thing and all I did was a Rogers to Fido unlock.
