Get your sister to move to a place that lets her take her pets back. They're her responsibility not yours!

Just ignore cat and just feed it according to your schedule, dont let it control your life. I am pretty sure an obese lazy cat will get tired of meowing constantly....

Also, does anyone else thinks this situation is HILARIOUS.

Don’t talk to the cat. Its meowing because someone talked to it all the time. The more you talk to a cat, the more it will meow back at you trying to communicate. Stop answering it when it meows and it will stop making as much noise.

Feed it twice a day, that’s it. Make sure it gets fresh water twice a day as well. Ignore its crying, eventually it will stop.

Cats make awesome pets, and I would hate for someone to be mean to one because its doing what comes naturally. Cats and dogs roughly have the intelligence of a 2-3 year old (or so I have read and belive it from watching my own animals). So basically you have a furry little retard on your hands. Sometimes you have to treat them like it.

maybe it's not enough food for that big guy, try feeding it more, and see if it gets full and shuts up for longer lol

thanks ill try doing that, ill give him 2/8ths a cup every 6 hours instead and im gonna ignore that peice of shit, i would never harm a cat no matter what but i feel like i jus wanna kick it a few times or sumthing, thats just how annoying it is. plus when i feed him, im walking to get the food and he would walk infront of me blocking the damn way and meows meows meows on the way till i get the food and when im going towards the dish to put food in it still blocks my damn way again but doesnt meow this time..

whenever i feed him more he jus meows again, right after i feed him and my sis comes home to visit the cat would trick her and meow at her to get more food.. and it would definately work if i wasnt there to tell her i just fed him. this guy is pretty tricky

Jesus christ dont get outsmarted by a CAT. Have a discussion with your sister, discussing mealtime schedules and maybe even put the cat on cat wieght watchers I dunno. Just dont cater to the freakin cat.

the thing is, there is no actual food time, pretty much i jus feed it on estimated 3 hours time and how much it would meow. theres my mom, my lil sis, me and my big sis that would feed him..

i just told my sis to take move the litter box, food dish, food to downstairs or im giving them away and she was like, i hope your aware you just threatened me... lol cmon.... she says she will take em when she finds another place but she said that like 3-6 months ago.. next time i see her im telling her to bring the dish, food and crap all downstairs or i will give em away..

Set a proper food time. Twice a day, no more. And I agree with SP, they're HER responsibility.

I feed my cats dry food in the morning and then leave out canned/wet food for the rest of the day and I've never had this problem. Wet food is better for them anyway due to the high water content (cats are prone to kidney disease/failure when older) and because it's diluted with a lot of water, there are less calories in the same amount as dry food. So, it would be difficult for your sister's cat to gain more unneeded weight and at the same time, there would be food always available. Other than that, feeding on a schedule might help, as others have pointed out, and just ignore him when he meows for food.

Add a bit of warm water into the dry food. This will cause the food to swell, and also make the cat more full. Add some canned pumpkin (with no seasoning) to the food. The extra fibre will make the cat feel more full. I agree with above posters, start feeding them twice a day. If there is some what of a schedule then the cat will only get excited about feeding time at those times.

problem kinda solved, got an automatic feeder that feeds 6 loads every 4.5 hours.. the most he meows now is about once a day when the auto feeder is out of food.
