We are talking about a race car here..
Compare the old GT1 Porsche to the same year 911 and there is a loss of almost 900 lbs in that car. And the Porsche was street legal while (correct me if I'm wrong) the Nissan isnt.

^ they only made a handful of 911 GT1's..
hell they werent even 911's to start of with. only shared the 911 body work (headlights, tail lights, thats it)
floor pan was a modified version of an older le mans car (952)
at least this thing is based on an actual street machine.. im still shocked that it weighs.. 2900lbs.

Hey look.
Nissan put a proper drivetrain in it finally.
Except now it costs 7 times as much.
Six times more than the ZR-1
Three and a half times more than the 911 GT2
Twice as much as the LFA
etc. etc.
But it has a GT-R badge, so it's okay.
I'll agree that it looks pretty cool, and that it might actually be pretty fast.
But this car is useless, and a big waste of money.

I wouldn't doubt the V8 motor is lighter than the V6 with 2 turbos and 2 sets of turbo hardware also.
THEN we get to the lack of interior, carbon body, non-production spec suspension components. A lot less impressive now.

I don't like how the car is multi-coloured now because of the exposed CF.
Maybe if the hood was CF too, it would have balanced it out.

But this car is useless, and a big waste of money. | hypothetically speaking, a ZR1 costs more than a tuned z06. you perspective is so narrow, you fail to see the big picture that puts a purpose to the large price tag. ever thought about pricing strategies from a companies perspective? ever wonder why all the unique brand name clothing in boys'co is made in indonesia, yet retardedly "overpriced"? no, you just keep a stubborn narrow perspective and reply with ignorant statements that cause some of the more immature revsceners to chuckle. but hey, ignorance is bliss right? shut your eyes, cover your ears, and just keep yelling "im right youre wrong, nananana"

This is for teams! $720,000 for a FIA spec car isn't even overpriced.
