I don't think you need to debrand it, but you could always do that. Nokia N97 owners: You won't get just Ovi Maps, but v21 firmware next week with enough C drive space to SUPPORT Ovi Maps 3.03. :lol |
oh man, that's great, Nokia gets my money. Bye bye sony |
...unless it's hacked to work on the Vivaz and Satio. :D |
^^^^^^?!?!?!?!?! lol is this for real or what |

It keeps prompting me to go online even after I turned off connect to internet automatically/ "Online connection required to enter the shop. Connect now?" And when I click no it just closes. Does anybody else get this? |

no, it's from the Software update, not Firmware update. :) it's under Application->SW. Update. After playing around with it for about another 2 hours or so, I got it figured out. I had to factory reset, restore my back up, clean up programs on my N97 and tried many more times to get it to work. But the main problem is probably not enough memory in c: on n97. Stupid update should have just told me that I don't have enough memory and let me choose the location to install. :p Also, there's no option to re-downlod the file. it keeps on trying and I thought I may have a corrupted download. :p It looks like the programmer is not using their own product daily. It's not thoughtful enough. :( You need at least 32mb of space + 8mb to download which both can not be on different drive other than c: After clean up all the crap and install the new map, it has only 28mb on the phone. :p It DOES LOOK GOOD. :) |
I just installed it on my N97 too. Went from ~45mb free to only 23mb now :( Looks pretty cool so far, gonna try it out later :D |
It won't work if you install it on Mass Memory? |
The test to speech is awesome. :) all the maps came preloaded with the E72? |

I said WTF and got it sorted out last week, so my insurance will resume on monday....:cry::cry: |
I just got mine to work for my N82 after looking online. Turns out you gotta hard-factory reset the phone and the update the maps using Nokia Maps updater RIGHT AWAY. Even though all my apps and stuff are now gone, I was planning to do a full format anyways :P anyways... LOOKING PRETTY!!!! So do I have to do anything to "activate" the free navigation? or is it all good out of the box? EDIT!!:: N82 = no free navigation :( EDIT:: Looks like UBC has its share of 3D buildings ( Irving library) http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._3049119_n.jpg |
