It can be sealed using specialized sealant. Just need to bake the light in the oven, pull the cover off complete, add sealant (make sure you have no breaks!), and glue shut.
I'm sure you can find a tube of this stuff for a few bucks at Lordco.
if you cannot find the black sealant...silicone works well too.
