Need expertise of HTC magic Phone
 

Just got a text message from Rogers and asked me to do a update dealing with 911 issue but when I want to install the downloaded the RUU from Rogers web site, which throws me an error: ERROR [170]: USB CONNECTION ERROR

Can someone tell me what should I do now ?

Do you have HTC sync installed? Download HTC sync and its update from the HTC site, then the latest update for the rogers HTC magic. Install HTC sync first then plug in your phone. Make sure it recognizes your device, and that debug mode is shut off in your phones settings. Then run the .exe to update.

Or you could install custom Rom like cursorsense 1.2.1 which is based on the update,has all the fixes for Rogers HTC Magics (911 and sms fix), has sense UI, and is rooted and optimized :) pm me for any more questions.
