Anyone else having problems with Rogers network
 
Getting some issues calling/receiving calls .. they are all failing or it will ring for a bit then just disconnect.. tried calling multiple people and same issue.

I tried it with 3 different phones so i'm pretty sure its a network issue..

anyone else having this issue?

I can't make/receive calls this is as of 12:30pm PST

yeah, called rogers and they said the 3g was down. But it only affected calls

recently my phone started draining the battery very quickly in 3G mode. Thought the battery was done but forcing it into Edge mode and the battery is fine.

My 3G was down yesterday around 5pm. But it's been fine today.

Ya my coworker (who is on Rogers) couldn't get his phone to work around lunch time today. He freaked out because he thought he didn't pay his bill.

Called rogers yesterday about it and the rep told me that I was wrong.

She said that if there was this problem, more people would have complained and they would have been notified. I reaccessed her stance on this by telling her that she can't say what I experienced first hand did or did not happen. Then I proceeded to ask how long till my contract is over and what the cancellations fees are. Got transferred over to the customer relations and got this new plan.

250 daytime
Unlimited evenings and weekends 5PM - 7AM
Rogers to Rogers
Call Display/Voicemail
500 texts + 50 image texts

22.69 taxes and fees in

I'll gladly run you through what happened but it took a little less than an hour to get the outcome I wanted. Something like 45mins total for the the 4 different reps to finally get one that would understand. 2 of the CSRs were regulars and 2 were the relation CSRs.

What do you have now?

i couldn't make calls last night around 9:40PM-ish.... where my blackberry won't ring when i dial out.
but whenever i turn my phone off and back on, it will ring when i dial out, but my friends tell me that they didn't receive any calls or any texts from me...!!!

i have n97 with no data plan with rogers and my network jumps from regular non-3G to 3G like a hundred times a day. And when it does the jump from 3G back to not 3G my entire network drops for like 20 seconds until it's back up again, anyone have this?

I called them and the dude was like "Oh it's a common problem in certain areas. Your phone is probably just broken"
I was like wtf? This just started like a month or so ago, and it's really fking annoying cause i would get calls during the down time and i won't receive them >: (

I said it started happening recently didn't I? Normally I would be down to 70% by the end of the day but in the past month, it would drain 10% per hour in 3G mode. I'd be at nearly 50% by lunch hour. I thought the battery was hooped but as a test, I forced it to use Edge and the battery was still full at the end of the day. I could see that the phone is constantly flipping between Edge, 3G and 3G+ thus killing the battery. My confirmation comes next week when I'm in Hawaii. I'll put it back into 3G and if the battery behaves normally then Rogers definitely has something going on with the network.

You should call to complain and hope to get some more credits.

Since I'm assuming you just signed a new contract, this is the only way to get it cheaper.
