do i get charged for calling 911? i live in one of the new townhouses in vancouver where not all residents have moved in yet. a few days ago the fire alarm went off and I called 911 (and a second time to clarify some info),and the fire truck came in a few moments. they inspected the residence (not mine) where the alarm went off and it turned out to be a false alarm. the question is will I get charged for this? |
Yes. $1 |

They need to come out to turn off the alarm on the fire alarm panel anyway so they're gonna have to go out there. |
We already pay for 911 service charges in our phone bills so I don't know why we pay $1.00 each call to 911 Posted via RS Mobile |
i think the only time you'd get "charged" is if you called them when you knew nothing was wrong |
yes you do |
Have you ever looked at your phone bill before? |
in for the fail |
you will only get charged if you call for no reason but than you wont just get charged money but you can also be charged criminally |
Yes, you will get charged $0.99 for the initial call, plus $0.15 for every minute it takes for them to arrive. Next time you're being robbed, or you see a fire, think twice before calling 911. |
if you called the ambulance and have them take u away, they'll charge you about 50$ have a nice day |
