New phone suggestions

alright so I've been using the E71 for a good... 6 months to a year. I need a new phone. I've been looking at E72 but I want a better email client and better web browser.

I'd like to venture back into the touch screen but I need something FAST and RESPONSIVE. The last touchscreen I had was X1 and I hated it. I want to shy away from the iPhone just because I don't like apple. I like the web browser on the iphone though... Also need a good email client and calandar/organizer compatible with outlook. Also need 3G on it.

Requirements:
- good battery life (at least a day of medium usage without having to charge)
- excellent web browser
- good email client (better than the E71 one)
- calendar/organizer compatible with outlook
- quadband GSM + NA 3G

if its touchscreen
- FAST
- RESPONSIVE

Would like
- good build quality
- good sunlight visibility

Open to suggestions, don't really have a budget.

I'd chime in with the BB Storm 2. it's a solid phone as long as you don't mind the surepress technology. Not a clusterfuck like the storm 1 was, that's for sure. It has just about everything you want, minus the web browser. Nothing is really beating the iPhone's native browser at this point. If you happen to be with Telus, the Motorola Milestone (aka Droid) is coming to their network. However, I don't know if it's quadband GSM.

Jeff, I'd say get droid.

don't bother with bb storm2 that was horrible. never liked the keyboard

wait for a good droid to use and get that. It might be the best "complete package" that your looking for

tons of company will start to get it. it's light comparing to wimo so it'll be quick.

However the new Winmo is right around the corner.... which is also suppose to be good

I can wait.. E71 just isn't cutting it anymore. The thing is starting to get buggy and laggy and just generally isnt nice anymore.. Plus, its not making use of all the data I'm paying for haha

I just don't want anything SLOW and UNRESPONSIVE though... I hate that.

exactly. If I want to joint he bandwagon i'd rather get the ipod touch just because its slimmer and I can tether it to my phone. I dont want my music device having a short battery life because i decided to put my phone on it.

My friends iphones barely last a day of average usage after a couple months. Sorry but I value a reliable battery.

I'm on berry just cause bbm and it's for work. My day phone is still my 903sh! That's right still kicking.

Honestly tho, there's a bunch of new phones coming this year.... What about winmo 7? I know you love symbian and nokia... But winmo 7 supposedly isn't bad

symbian is starting to fade away... it can't stack up to the new android OS. I love the integration with pretty much everything and how smooth it is. unless nokia makes an android OS phone I probably won't be going back to them unless I just want something to only make calls with.

I'm hoping the new HTC legend or Desire comes in NAM or else I'll pick up the Droid. So far those are the two that I'm looking at... If all else fails I'll just buy an ipod touch and E72 then tether the ipod to E72. I have lots of downtime so I want something to kill time with.

Its down to Legend, Desire and Droid!
