i can see the creative work that he has done, but i don't see the point. is he trying to say good things or bad things about homelessness?

i only skipped through the first video though.

Armind 02-14-2010 01:45 AM

wow, just wow........
i can't believe he went as far as to smoke crack and shoot heroin...i just hope that guy doesn't get some urge to try it out again in the future.

MG1 02-14-2010 07:03 AM

Not all people in the DTES are young and homeless, drug addicts, or jobless. Not everone gets or wants the assistance. Anyway.................... I'm watching the rest of the guy's video right now. Good so far. First one is like a fun one, then it gets down to business.....

ajei 02-14-2010 07:48 AM

so if i can avoid addiction...living homeless is cool? free sauna and laundry service?

Nice find, Armind. Can you put up links to the rest in your original post?

Some people may not realize that what's posted is the first in a series of seven (even though it's right there in the title).

The rest is way more interesting.

Kim Jong Un 02-14-2010 08:56 AM

XxFcukxX 02-14-2010 09:00 AM

How do people not know the statistics for homelessness? People on the news talk about this shit all the time!

$75k/yr for homelessness gets cut significantly when there is sustainable long-term housing, as a great deal of the cost goes towards public homeless shelters.

The creation of social/below-market/cheapass housing SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the cost and effects of being low/non-income. This is why people keep pushing for social housing!

there is lots of cheap housing all across canada... the only reason these people are here is because of the warmer weather and more free stuff. if we stoped giving out free stuff the people would leave. and then it woudln't cost us anything.

So that's the reason that there's more than 4,000 homeless people in Montreal too, eh? Lots of warm weather and free stuff...

Let's not forget...no matter what we do some people will be poor and lazy. There is no way to MAKE everyone become productive and contribute shit. You can't force that. But what you can do is minimize the vampiric drain on everyone.

Conclusion:

If go come here (DTES) and get addicted, you stay here.
