That's what sucks you never know. I would use one from time to time when i drove my 28 year old friend around. He had cancer and couldn't walk very far without getting fatigued. People just assume things which is retarded.

Stolen handicap parking pass. But the guy is long gone out of this country

More than a few times I've seen it running while parked with the owner no where in sight. I even posted a picture of it in RS spotted, but surprise, it got deleted. The owner must've called in a favor here.

Kind of tempted to post it again..

Parents who lend their handicapped cards to their kids get no sympathy when their kids end up on the wrong side of the tracks.

With that said, the problem is that many people that "look" physically fine can have major injuries. Just because the driver can walk like a normal guy, doesn't mean both his legs are real.

saw a Porsche 911 parked in a handicap spot and got blocked behind by a hugh, beat up domestic with handicap sign hanging on the rear view mirror in the Richmond center CIBC parking a month or two ago ...

this young guy standing right next to the Porsche, whom I assume is the driver, was pumping smokes and talking on the cell at the same time; the domestic either needed that much space to get out of the car or was trying to make a point, he took up almost another one third of the other lane and everybody had to squeeze through slowly

everyone drove by gave him a dirty look since he was the only one who stood there and was definely part of it, you think he was pissed? I drove by the same spot after an hour of shopping, he was still standing there smoking and waiting for the domestic guy to show up ...

I sure hope he is not here reading this post now ...

I've totally been bitch'ed at by people thinking I parked there cuz i had a handicap sign. Being Decently young, some people bring out the shit storm when I get out for parking there. BUT what they never understand is, i have handicapped family member inside the mall/stores whatever, and i park there to pick them up.

So this "handicap" fraud system will never work, cuz they JUST don't know if it fraud or not.

just because somebody looks ok, has 2 legs/ 2 arms doesn't mean that they cannot be disabled/handicap. This system will of course take people in who are taking advantage of the system but also will create problems who are infact handicap/disabled.
leave the policing to the police.

On the contrary. It is much better this way, because they will know the circumstances. Much better than some irrate person coming around and taking matters into their own hands. I think this is more about a car parked in a handicapped space without the placard.

There's nothing wrong with parking in handicapped spaces if you aren't handicapped. Sometimes you just have better things to do right? Like I really wanted the flu shot right when it came out so i went to the clinic and parked in two HC spots (cuz I don't want some crip with crazy legs denting the Bronco with their iron lung). I go in and there's this huge line! And not a line of cool people like outside the Roxy, but ugly people like olds and babies and gay shit like that. So obvs I just push to the front of the line and get my shot and then blasted home in the HOV lane. It was rad.

Joking, of course. People who park in handicapped spots when they shouldn't should get blowdarted with AIDS as they get out of the car. Like "LOL your life expectancy is handicapped now!"

Bingo. Guy puts a card up, gets out, you think he looks fine, so you send in a pic... they'll look and see the card, say "WTF?", and click "delete".

I have a very serious case of Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome, so I have a pass. The thing is that I look completely normal. I walk completely normally. I just can't walk for more than 200-300 meters without having to sit down and rest for 10 minutes. Old people (often without a pass or condition of their own) tend to glare and occasionally harass me until I tell them off and direct them to the dash where my pass is sitting. I generally finish my verbal tirade with "I'd love to stand here and chat, but I physically can't, so I'm going to go on into *name of establishment* and you can go back to harassing people." The problem of people misusing the passes and spaces are much more pronounced in Toronto (although also much better enforced) because with my pass I have free parking at on-street meters, exemption from no parking rules, etc.
