Best Plans to get new BBBold?
 

What is the best plan to get a BBBold from the service providers? I'm looking to start a new 3 year plan.. I want to get the 500mb, but don't want to spend too much.

It's best if you negotiate with your current service provider. Most, if not all the time they will give you a better deal compared to the "retail" ones.

Retentions. Threaten them with the idea of you switching service providers until you get what you want.

Too bad I didn't see this thread earlier. My friend works at Fido (I think it's Fido), and she said she can get a promotional thing for the new BB9700. $49 for a three year plan.

that plan is beautiful....but I didn't know fido carried the 9700

only berry that fido carries is the pearl...

They carry the 8520, or will within the next month.

Must be another carrier then. She never told me which carrier, but for some reason I keep thinking it's Fido.. lol.

Is it rogers?
And is the promotion only extended to staff/friends of staff? Or is it to the public as well?

and I pay $60 a month.... :|

She's got a dope plan.

I believe it was extended only to friends of staff, but it only applied last weekend. Depending on how much you want to pay a month, I can ask her if she can hook you up with anything? But YMMV.

Can you unlock it for Fido?
I kinda want a new BB Bold for Fido since Pearl came out.

yup, you can buy the new one and just get it unlocked.

its all about retentions. don't talk to the lower level csr's, they can't do much.

Looking for some sort of data plan though, even 500mb would be good.
