Before I watch this series, can someone tell me if any of the following are apart of this new Gundam franchise:

Honestly, I'm getting pretty tired of seeing skinny, scrawny kids who are like 12 years old fighthing in wars, babbling on about right vs wrong like they possess majors and doctorates in philosophy and history.

I need some realism. I want a huge Batou-looking dude piloting a Gundam, who smokes and gets in fights, and is an alcoholic.

Gundam needs some growing up. Is this Gundam Unicorn it?

Are there any Gundam series without one of those? All those things are signature Gundam... If anything they need to simplify the political garbage. I admit the last several Gundams were terrible. Either make it serious/realistic like the original UC or make it light hearted and funny like G Gundam.

By the way, ALL recent (last decade or so) anime is about some 16 year old kid saving the world.

Oh, and I like the weirdo's in masks. It's funny.

This is a OVA series, I think...so it'll take awhile.

Also, this is a whole new level of animation, IMO...so I'm not surprised it'll take awhile. The differences aren't noticeable at first but the detail is quite advanced.

Also, having a love story in Gundam isn't terrible as long as it is done correctly. 08th MS is one of the best series and it had a whole Romeo and Juliet thing going on.

all that bullshit in Wing and Seed with the mask is stupid...
i especially hate that masked man in wing, Milliardo Peacecraft is a pansy...
at least in Seed, the guy in mask was not as homo like

Millardo piloted Tallgeese and Epyon. He is badass. Wing was a good gundam series. Very good for visuals. Not that good because the gundams were godlike.

^ 00 Units were not all that godly, they've been beaten and captured a couple times already.

Unicorn's destroy mode = God mode as well (although we haven't seen any footage of it pwning)

Unicorn's NT-D Destroy mode can't beat the Banshee, which is also NT-D equipped.

The fight at the beginning between the Kshartiyna (Quin Mantha thingy) and the 3 Jegans was pretty entertaining. That stark jegan really held up well.

The overall first episode gave me the feeling of Gundam F91 when it was released long time ago in theatres overseas. (the Loto/special forces transformable Guntank was the pre-production model for the R44 guntank found in F91)

Marida Cruz = Ple 2 or 3 or 12 i forgot ( she was cloned to be a sex slave, hence the reference of the title "master" to the Captain who rescued her from that life )

Unicorn made its debut, Banshee, Unicorn's more powerful sister suit will make debut soon in the storyline, as well as Delta Plus which is a transformable version on the Hyaku Shiki, or what it should've been.

yes, Hyaku Shiki (Type 100), despite having countless fans for it was actually a failed project and the AEUG made it iconic along with Zeta Gundam. In fairness, both were deemed prototype models.

Episode 7 (final episode) came out.. got some cool call backs to previous Gundams.. a bit of a let down honestly.

I thought the ending was a strong way to finish what can be considered "in line" from 0079. In terms of time it starts moving into F91 and side stories like Hathaway's Flash. Although, the 00-esque theme of "UNDERSTANDING" came up again...

Way too much jobbing of cool custom suits though.
