ITR vs Civic SI Article on Insideline

Great article about the Integra type R and how it matches up with the new civic si.

I just read that, and it was a pretty good article.
The ITR is probably the best fwd car ever built, and will always be my generation's "hot rod".

There's one shitty thing about the ITR: Stupid Resale Value. It is hard to spend 15k for a 12 year old car.

For me, I've always felt the ITR felt more nimble and more visceral (you hear that word alot when asked about the ITR).

BUT, the lude is no slouch either and I am sure someone will bring up that Car and Driver article where the Lude was the best FWD handling car (I still wonder they didn't include the ITR). If you ever drive a lude though, it just feels heavier but more stable.

I feel old now. I remember in HS, when my buddy got a SH in that Silver blueish colour and another of my buddies grabbed an ITR. I was too poor and settled for a GSR

yes, so people who owned it from new or fairly new has the good end of the stick. That goes for all cars that are "cool" and have "pedigree".

I've driven it before and I gotta say it was real good...but I couldn't really get used to the throttle for DD...too used to DBW =/

This article sums up why I buy cars based on feel and not numbers. Driving enjoyment is not a spec sheet.

I hate drive by wire throttle. Driving an older car always feels perfectly natural and afterwards I always need to readjust to the DBW cars I've owned.
