Difference between these two drugs...? Hey all, My bottle says "word for word" CO-CITALOPRAM 40MG TAB (OBT) CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE TAB 40MG 02248051 The bottle that was given to me says CITALOPRAM 20MG (PMS)02248010 I realize I should just get a new subscription but I am unable to afford it, and these were free and there is a shitload. Damn near a years worth. Anyways, could someone translate this for me. If I understand corectly, there are slightly different ingredients. |
Two things are different.. the product BRAND and the product STRENGTH. In this case, the brand does not make a difference as to how much you should take, but the strength does. If you were originally supposed to take 40 mg of citalopram, you now need to take 2 tablets of the 20 mg to get the equivalent dosage. |
check the expiry date on the bottle given to you... make sure they're not expired --> (i.e. 09/2011 means good until Sept.30, 2011) |
