Changing Tires in WA

Hey guys, I'm planning to take a trip down to the states to get some new tires from Costco. However I am unsure of the Washington state government fees (ie: disposal fees, environmental levies etc...) Do these disposal fees exist? and if so, how much?

thanks!

Enviro Fee=$1 per tire. Not sure of Costco's disposal fee though, Discount Tire charges $2.50 per tire.

paid a a total of $404.xx USD (too lazy to look at receipt :D) at Costco

4 new Michelin Radial X, disposal fees, taxes, service fees all included

That's pretty cheap!

Did you have to make an appointment for it?
Or did you just drive in and asked them to change.

no appointment, just drove down there in the morning (around 10) and was first in line. They didn't have our first choice though, so we got our second choice. So if you really want a particular tire, I suggest calling them before going. They also do a free balancing and fill the new tires with nitrogen

thats quite cheap. what was the tire size?

sorry I haven't been monitoring this thread for a while.

Price, total out the door was somewhere around 404USD
CRV Tire Size is 205/70/15

As well, I got new tires for my own TL too. But I went to Discount Tire down in Burlington (they got a store in Bellingham too, but the GF wanted to go to an outlet while we were down there). I paid a grand total of $551.29USD for mine, for a set of 4 Falken ZE-512 (235/35 17"), installed and balanced (includes lifetime balancing, rotations, and puncture repairs).

I'd go to discount rather than costco now that I've been to discount - service is better and they will gladly beat costco's price (if not match it)

As for duties... well I changed them completely and dumped the old ones, so technically I bought a neccesity/consumable

If you want more details you can PM me for quick, if not immediate reply :)
