Load of BB questions

I just bought a used verizon 9630 tour

looking for the browser application, couldn't find it at first, used the switch application button, found it and then closed it and now I can't find it again...

Doesn't seem like my data plan is working, is there some sort of setup i need to do with the device to access this?

Can I get app world for my mac?

I looked through the crackberry site and installed a few apps using their by-wire method, the OTA stuff I can't access because I can't figure out how to use my data

Please help!

I am on fido BTW

Did you set up your data as blackberry specific?

ilvtofu 03-12-2010 06:46 AM

Nope it's just a regular edge data plan

how do I go about doing that?

sorry to steal your thread OP, i do have one question to ask as well

my BB from work with app "memo pad" installed which it doesnt have it on my brother's 9700.

is there a way to transfer this app for him? i been looking around and i think it cost money to download this app?

other than "memo pad", is there anything similiar he can download it for free? nothing too fancy, just a app to write few notes

Since you're with fido, give them a call and tell them you need a data plan for your Blackberry.

If you're using just regular data, that means you don't have access to BIS (Blackberry Internet Service)

Is there anything special about this Memo Pad?

I'm pretty sure it's a stock application for the Blackberry.

Download the Desktop Management software, update the firmware, and there should be a list of stock applications for the 9700.

go into applications and click the Menu button

TypeRNammer nailed it on the head.

Its a base app and should be on the software cd

Seems like the Q & A in regards to Blackberries on RS have slowed down a bit, that's why I popped by and gave my two cents:thumbsup:

Ya, either the memo pad is hidden or it was not loaded onto the blackberry when the OS was being installed. If it wasn't installed, just use Desktop Manager and install it on the blackberry and its good to go.
