Nexus One Coming with NAM 3G

Just noticed that the nexus one is coming to rogers soon, on the google.com/phone.

" Compatible with 3G on AT&T (U.S.) and Rogers Wireless (Canada)
Supports three 3G/UMTS bands (850/1900/2100 MHz) and four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)"

http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/16/n...gers-3g-bands/

perhaps something people on RS have been waiting for

I'm not sure how it really works. I read that a lot of people pretty much just order the phone from google instead of going to their carrier.

your title is misleading. you say that its coming to Rogers when in fact its just Google releasing a model that has NAM 3G.

got me excited for no reason...

i guess it's a hint/foreshadowing it's gonna be going to rogers in canada i mean of all the carrier it coulda easily listed bell/telus/fido etc.. and i guess wind mobile won't be getting it exclusively no more as rumored?

How is it misleading? It can be used on Rogers network now, so it's "coming to Rogers".

Domani 03-18-2010 08:33 AM

can be used on rogers network, but it's not going to be sold by rogers.

SkinnyPupp 03-18-2010 09:12 AM

Nexus One is sold by nobody but Google, unless something has changed

LemonT 03-18-2010 09:45 AM

sorry about the misleading post, but i believe that google.com/phone will probably be offering plans from rogers most likely like how t-mobile is since no one is the official carrier of the NAM version yet , the phone should come @ a subsided price as well but everyone is forced to order online, but they now ship to the great white north =)

It's misleading because "coming to Rogers" means that it will be carried by Rogers, not buying from Google and being able to use it on Rogers.

Tim Budong 03-18-2010 02:36 PM

Google has stated that they will only sell this thru their own distribution channels

k2_alpha 03-18-2010 02:38 PM

You do know you listed all the frequency that the big three uses right?

Thread title misleading, blauuuhhhhhgghh.

Needs more QWERTY, then I'd consider.

EDIT: Thread title no longer misleading.

Nexus One, the "true" google phone.

This depends where its being shipped from
some places already broker the customs for you, ie: Newegg.ca

StylinRed 03-25-2010 11:41 PM

^^^ yeah, but i had bought it from amazon and sent it to my cousins clinic and his secretary sent it to me with the price listed on the customs form

it just depends if customs bothers or not it seems

theBlackMarkers 03-26-2010 02:12 AM

Bought it last wednesday, arrived last friday. Paid $72 for tax at the door.

Pretty awesome phone.
