Blackberry and Rogers Data question

I have recently grabbed a european model blackberry 8520. its unbranded and unlocked/never locked whatever. so it works with rogers or fido networks.

My question is, will this phone be compatible with rogers data/bbm service?

I've heard mixed stories, but couldn't seem to find any relevant information on this.

Thanks!

The 3G may not, but at least you'll get EDGE.
The blackberry services are based on PIN, but you may have to set the APN settings manually for non BIS apps.
Also your account must have a BIS based data package or SOC.

to switch to the new pin: www.rogers.com/bis

APN: Internet.com
username: wapuser1
password: wap

There ya go.

yes it will
Blackberry all use the same frequencies in all devices minus Wind/Tmobile and CDMA berries
