stock wing on ITR helps with high speed cornering on the car.... as ITR's are actually known to oversteer naturally at a certain limit. for some odd reason the rear of ITR's actually do like to step out. questionable suspension tuning from honda, but maybe thats why its one of the best FWD cars ever made.

i thought theoretically F1 cars can drive upside down due to the degree of downforce.

It's called lift-throttle oversteer.

"Questionable suspension tuning?"
It was definitely deliberate.

Spend some time on a skidpad. It'll do you good.
