2 very diffrent shows that cannot be compared
i havent really watched this season of suits but I can't see legal dramas having its same appeal as the seasons go on...breaking bad on the other hand has pretty much been getting better and better as it goes on.

Neva 07-27-2012 07:47 PM

breaking bad>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>suits

I watched half the first season of suits and it reminded me of 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' when they were making fun of CSI. Same crap cinematography same cheezey lines and plot.

Breaking Bad has a story line that gets better and better the more you watch with characters that become more intense with every scene. Do yourself the favour man.

Slifer 07-28-2012 02:37 PM

Yeah Breaking Bad > Suits hands down.
There is no contest. I would rate BB at 10/10 and Suits at 5/10.

Nicotine 07-29-2012 03:19 AM

not too impressed so far with the new season. but time will tell i guess.

koukimonst3r 07-29-2012 07:32 AM

Yeah it usually takes a while to build up then the last few episodes is where it gets better.

twitchyzero 07-29-2012 11:14 AM

season 3 and 4 were slow burn for the majority of the season but these 1st 2 episodes has been pretty solid...i'd be disappointed otherwise knowing there's only about 6 episodes left until 2013

Mike has to know that Walt is a very unstable variable. I wonder what sort of contingency plan Mike has for dealing with Walt should things go bad between them?

Does anyone else find it very risky that they are now trusting a whole batch of other people they barely know (i.e., the exterminators) about their operation? I'm surprised Mike even agreed to it. The exterminators are crooks and not exactly the most trustworthy type. That whole angle seems implausible to me.

ShadowBun 07-29-2012 09:47 PM

opening of ep1 surely hinted that something happened to the operation and that Walt is getting revenge or something

twitchyzero 07-30-2012 08:38 AM

Anyone go :fulloffuck: when Marie mentioned it's only been a year since the events of the pilot? I thought it's been a few years

Anyways I appreciate the parallels to scarface the producer/writers are doing

double0seven 07-30-2012 09:03 AM

they have no choice. mike has to make money for the "legacy fund" to keep the ones locked up to stay quiet. they were also paying those exterminators off i think.

G-spec 07-30-2012 09:24 AM

so nobody is discussing the most interesting scene in last night's episode ?

It was the final scene where Walt mentions what happened to that spanish kid, the muscle, that got his throat slit by Gus, something about how he was trying to cook his own batch and the throat slitting might have been punishment for that.....
then you see Jesse's simple brain working for a few seconds and kind of gives a "oh shit" look towards Walt as he's walking away, as if Walt is subtly threatening him.

Walt has been embracing the bad guy personality quite a while now, like he knows it can only end one way, and the Scarface scene last night definitely added to that theory..
And to me the only thing that makes sense is that his cancer is back for good this time, he doesn't have much time and the reason he's goin "all out" is because he's determined to go out on his own terms and not let the cancer put him away quietly.....

and holy fuck, you'd think that Walt being as smart as he is would have worked out the percentages and splits of the money prior instead of just waiting for the first payday and seeing how much he gets. But obviously it was done this way for the sake of the show's plotline....
when I saw how much he got, I was fckin annoyed lol

twitchyzero 07-30-2012 05:09 PM

^ i didn't hear the dialogue of that scene clearly..interesting

the show hasn't mentioned that walt's cancer is/would be reoccurring

and mike never mentioned the legacy fund...he clearly said i'll handle the business but didnt go into the details

ShadowBun 07-30-2012 05:20 PM

^ Mike even explained what the legacy fund was for...

twitchyzero 07-30-2012 05:34 PM

i meant to say prior to that money splitting scene he never mentioned it...thus walt wouldn't be able to accurately tell what his % of the cut was gonna be

Why is Walt threatening Jessie? Jessie did not even hinted that he plans to cook on his own. He even broke up with his girlfriend for the sake of the business.

Neva 07-30-2012 08:26 PM

Ya, I think Walt was hinting towards getting rid of Mike since Walt clearly wants to be the King and there's a clear power struggle between the two of them. Also because he spent his time manipulating Jesse, again, to get him to split with his gf.

Every minute I keep waiting for the huge catastrophe/conflict where everyone is going to mass panic. I get so anxious every ep. Walt is just so damn bad ass now that he's not under the watch of Gus anymore.

Ronin 07-30-2012 08:34 PM

Fucking hate Skylar.

threezero 07-31-2012 04:31 AM

6793026 07-31-2012 12:12 PM

I was on some TV forum where there are some hardcore watchers and they dissected the timeline after the first episode of the season.

If you go back to the first episode of the series, 50 was spelled out in the fake bacon on his plate.

In the first episode of this season, Walt spelled out 52 with his bacon. So that means that flash forward scene happens about a year in the future.

JSilver 07-31-2012 03:04 PM

I think her acting is on point.

She's portraying exactly who she's suppose to be and that's why all, if not most viewers fucking hate her. She's doing a good job that's for sure.

Neva 07-31-2012 04:31 PM

Maybe she meant 1 year of remission?
