Yeah, her story arc is annoying right now. But this show wouldn't be as good as it is without it.
Part of what humanizes Heisenberg and makes this show relateable is his "family man" angle. I was enjoying that hints of Heisenenberg Walt was starting to show a little in the last scene with Skyler.
just got on this show and currently on season 2. must say, really liking it and i love how to plot of the story just continuously builds up. another great show by AMC.
In the scene where Jesse gives Walt his present, I was hoping Walt would say "Thanks" or something. Just anything honest that would indicate that Walt isn't completely devoted to manipulating Jesse. An indicator that Walt truly values Jesse as a partner and not just his pawn. Sadly, Walt said jack.

I don't think that's the case.
I think he was just speechless that Jesse was the only that really "cared" about his birthday, compared to his family with that weak birthday bash
sound of a gun cocking for the last tick of the clock
Shit is going to down in the finale.
I don't have the episode pvr'd... but I thought I noticed something at the end of the episode to add to this.
Spoiler!
Did anyone else notice that the ticking clock (close up of the watch I mean) stopped at what would be 52? (I think?) Ending with the gun cocking?
If someone has the clip, or the episode saved, they could check.

I just checked. Stopped between 59-0 and no gun cocking.
For anyone that is wondering where that Madrigal property is located in the show, they had a shot of an award that Lydia has, and it says Houston, Texas. Lydia's full name is "Lydia Rodarte-Quayle".
Also a refresher regarding the comment the repair guy made about deer parts in the bumper of the Aztek... that was from when Walt ran over those two drug dealers that killed Combo on the street corner.

I heard it.
I don't understand why there's so much hate towards Skylar. No way is she on Lori's level of stupidity. Hell I think she's justified with everything that has happened because of Walt. She went from being a normal person to being pulled into the drug game + the endangerment of their family's lives. There's so much to lose.
Now Lori on the other hand...

Skyler is 10000x worse than Lori..... She is the ultimate in selfishness.
Walt is dying from cance and he just wants to raise money for his family, and this bitch goes and bangs her boss, then tries to hide it and pay him off. Then says i hope the cancer comes back???
And what is with the "suicide attempt" while everyone is sitting right there?? WAH WAH PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!! im the only one that's important. I really hope Walt disappears her.

It was strictly a ploy to get the kids to stay with Hank and Marie.
Apples and Oranges. Skylar, while annoying, is actually very smart and has been able to help Walt. Lori on the other hand is a dumb shit that has only made things worse for Rick.
It's going to be interesting to see how Mike is going to operate when the DEA start surveillance on him. No doubt Mike is going to notice. How is he going to continue meeting with Jesse and Walt for their meetings?
What kind of Rolex? Weird I should have recognized it but it's rectangular.
Spoiler!
The box said Tag Heuer, and the watch was a Tag Heuer Monaco.
The ending scene with the watch on the bedside table did have significance.
The Minute hand was at 51, and the seconds was starting at 50 seconds, and counting to 60 seconds.. as soon as it went from 59-0 seconds, a gun cocking sound happened.
If it took 4 seasons to make 1 year of storyline, then what does that say for this season?
Will walter turn 52 in season 9?
The Season opener, with the 52nd birthday flashforward.. He was taking pills, he did have a slight limp cough, and he did seem to purchase a shit ton of guns/weapons/ammunition. Scarface situation right there.
