It's usually busy after 4pm on weekdays and it's really busy on Saturdays. Perfect place on sunny days.
I stole this from our local eskimo website that met up at David Gray Park.  http://www.americaneskimodogs.org/david_gray_park.htm and I video of the park if you really care | W2K has been taking his dog there and said its a great spot. I think I'll be taking mine there over the next 2 weeks since the weather is suppose to be great

If it's big enough this could be a good place to do a pet meet. Somewhat central for more people.

Somewhat central for more people. | It's a small park, it's a pretty quick walk all around but the play ground for the dogs is a perfect size. The park also has 2 tennis courts and a play ground. It's also good for picnics but they wouldn't allow it in-side the off-leash area ( duhh). You can even have a car/dog meet combined while you're at it too.

Buntzen lake would be a great hike get excersize for you and your dog. Also people with dogs that dont socialize well with others will have a great time on the trail and tiring out the aggresive dogs.

To op,
My brother just got a place in the Clayton area and showed me that park in your OP. Is it completely fenced off? I got a small dog that I want to bring over next area but we sucked at training him. Any chance of him getting through a hole in a fence, or find another way out? Posted via RS Mobile | |

We actually just got home from the Clayton park 
It is completely fenced, both small and large areas - even the woods in the back of the large area are fenced around the back. There's one small gap between the two sections that our guys slip through now and then, and they can squeeze between the hinges on the gates (they're all in the 4.5-5lb range), but if you keep him more toward the back of the area, there's nowhere for him to escape to, and there's usually so much going on with other dogs, he'll be too distracted to want to go anywhere.
We've found of all the parks we've been to, this one tends to have the friendliest and most "dog-smart" dog people, and consequently some of the friendliest and most playful dogs, which makes it a great place to socialize your dog.
One important tip (channeling Cesar here), if your dog is cowering around your feet and wanting to be picked up... DON'T DO IT (unless he's in actual danger, of course) - he needs to learn to stand his own ground with other dogs. We ran into exactly this with Daisy when we first got her, and stuck to that advice... three days later we took her back by the store for a visit and they all said she wasn't even the same dog. Now she runs all over the park on her own.

So there's a new HUGE off-leash park in Pitt Meadows! The city has fenced off most of North Bonson Park (north end of Blakely Rd., butting up against the train tracks), including a separate small-dog area. It's mostly grass, with LOTS of BIG trees for shade.
It's really new (within the last month) so there are still some kinks being worked out - like big gaps under a couple of the gates that the small dogs can slip through, and really gimpy chain-latching setups on some of the gates - but it seems every time we go, something has been improved. They've added a poop-bag dispenser on the fence dividing the two sections, added C-clamp latches to a couple of the gates... only thing that's REALLY missing is anywhere to sit (no benches or anything).

Just go up 5 blocks to nelson park , thats fenced off. With tree and shade.

Trout Lake on one side has a dog off leash side but its not fenced. I see lots of well behaved dogs around that area and they don't run away

its not an off leash area, but i always bring my dog to Odlin Park @ No4 and Odlin (between cambie and alderbridge. Theres a huge field and there's always other dog walkers, so its a pretty nice area...
