Beijing, Mar 23: In a gruesome incident, a former doctor stabbed eight children to death and wounded five others at an elementary school in eastern China, local official said.


Buzz up!A man, who chose to be identified by his surname Wu in the Nanping city government office, said that the assailant armed with a large knife killed eight students from Nanping City Experimental Elementary School, out of which six died on the spot.


Five were injured in the attack and are being treated in a hospital in at a hospital.

Wu said that the attacker is a former community doctor and has a history of mental illness.

A local media report said that the assailant has been taken into custody.

The school has been closed following the incident.

what kind of person gets to be a doctor when he has a history of mental illness...
