RBK 8K PRO elbow pads

I noticed alot of these for sale on Ebay lately and some at cyclone too.
http://www.cyclonetaylor.com/pads/el...bk8kprosr.html
For $60 the seem like a good deal. Last week i went to cyclone's and tried them on for a while, put on a pair of gloves and grabbed a stick and walked around for a while. I just couldn't get used to that extended forearm protection. Kept interfering with the gloves and restricted wrist movement.
Anybody else have these? And if so, what's your experience like? Do they feel better after they break in?
Aside from those pads, i've been considering some 3 piece elbow pads

I have a brand new pair of RBK 8K elbow pads in med for sale if you're interested..... non pro version

Also the prices on cyclone taylor's website don't reflect their store prices... and to make it even worse, they don't ship within BC which is weird

Have you tried the 5K? It won't restrict your wrist movements as much since it doesn't have that extra protection. Obviously it's not as high end as the 8K but you don't really need top end elbows as long as it fits properly. I bought the NBH ONE90 when they came out when a lower end model elbow pad in the same line could've easily done the job just as well, I just had more money in my pocket at that time.

If you want to stick with the 8K see if your shop can cut off the forearm protection for you. I've had several equipment repairs done by Tobi at Cyclones on Oak/49th and it's always been quality work at a reasonable price.

If you are really liking the fit of the 8k but not the extended cuffs take a look at the Jofa 9144's. They are the same pad as the 8k you tried on but without the cuffs. In addition, I think they are on sale at hockeygiant

I'm using the jofa 9177 which are identical as the rbk 8k. At first it was weird with the extended cuff going into my glove and restricting a bit of movement. But now I don't even notice it at all

But Wilso09 is right if you don't like the extended cuff try the Jofa 9144 they have it at hockeygiant but i'm pretty sure only size large left
