I'm beginning to feel like I'm talking to myself in here but i'll post anyway in case someone is silently following along ^^
HyperX (some of you may know him if you have the OmniaHD; he makes custom firmware/mods for phones) is developing a mod for the N8 and has already been able to get the N8 to take images in RAW format as well as Increase the Framerate of the 720p video recording, from 25fps to 30fps!
Here is a pic he has taken with the N8 outputted in the raw format (its 11mbs)
(edit eh supposedly its not RAW just less compressed jpg that he's figured out)

why? just order it from the UK or America so you don't get screwed by the overhead
www.shopblt.com (us company ships to canada; more of a corporate sales site so it looks like a cheap website but reputable only $450 too) www.clove.co.uk (ships royal mail) www.handtec.co.uk (only ships fedex/ups to canada) www.expansys.co.uk www.amazon.com (ship to the border even with washington state tax it'll likely be cheaper than buying it from a local shop)

As for Shopblt its because the phone still isn't available in North America its expected to be available in a week or two
For the price this phone is god damn amazing, I ended up getting a desire simply because I could not wait any longer and at the time I think they were saying 600$+ for the phone.
a lot of reviews are out saying this is the best camera phone Ever and the Telegraph in the UK love the phone as well
even our Financial Post are saying its a real winner
This video was filmed and edited using the N8 close up shots were used in conjunction with a magnifying glass (hence the background being out of focus) this isn't needed anymore if you apply HyperX's continuous auto focus hack

Oh yea some Games (you can hook your n8 up to your tv with hdmi and play the games from your tv; also some of these games support the pinch to zoom function etc etc)
Asphalt; Avatar; GT Racing; Hero of Sparta (i think these were showcased before the N8 was actually released so it might not be based off of release firmware)
yeah i was just gonna go down there when this tihng comes out. wondering that ^ too. if its too far then im probably just gonna send it to the border or aunts house. should be cheaper sending it to aunts house righT?
how much would it cost to ship to here? tax and everything. 100 dollars less makes the phone seem to cheap. This site is legit right? just seems sketchy. but i dunno anything. haha
the N8 is much cheaper than an iphone. I've always wanted a phone with a decent camera.
How does Symbian compare to iOS? Any decent websites for comparisons?

if you were in the UK you could buy the phone from the UK's version of Superstore for even less! (people dont get it they think Tesco, the store, is just bs'ing since they wont be in stock until the end of November or so)
shopblt is a very old company that supposedly/apparently deals more in corporate sales so their site looks crappy (just search for reviews in google)
I'm not going to order from the states though i want a Made In Finland one not a Made in China one (north america, asia gets the MIC ones)

I think i've posted some videos in here..
iOS is more pretty; better looking icons nice transitions for example the transition between Portrait and Landscape mode there's a little animation whereas with S^3 its just Pow Portrait Pow Landscape
if you want to compare the rest... S^3 is way ahead of iOS (true multitasking etc etc) and more open to Mods etc if you want to compare speeds there's videos of website load times (n8 wins) etc... there are Benchmark tests and the N8 wins more or less even with a slower cpu but a killer gpu
but for Iphone fans they can't get over learning to use a new OS and they're used to the Look of iOS over S^3

you have 3 options to choose from in the UK (these are all reputable and famous in the UK btw) They do not charge VAT (sales tax) for International Orders btw

Amazon.co.uk .fr .de and Nokia online stores don't ship the N8 to Canada (as for other online stores across Europe i'm sure they're out there but i haven't been able to find them; the phone is actually cheaper in France than it is in the UK)
the Nokia N8s in China are not made at Foxconn btw they're made specifically at Nokias own factory and they supply NA/Asia/Australia (unsure about South America) and parts of Africa
the Made in Finland ones are found in Europe the Middle-East and parts of Africa
