guys, willing t spend $100.00 a month on a MMA gym for boxing classes and maybe other stuff that involves legs, kickboxing or muay tha
Any recommendations?? diaz mma in chinatown looks interesting...... I live in Richmond, work in downtown core 5 days a week
Lions MMA in DT and Adam Ryan's MMA in Richmond. Although both those will be slightly over your $100 limit depending on the number of disciplines you want to do. Also most of these mma gyms will have a free trial period so I would try them out and see which one you like.

Anyone here go Kai Singthong or have any thoughts/inputs about the gym? Did a quick search but the last reviews that popped up were from ages ago.
It's a super ghetto gym in a not so great neighbourhood but Master Song is a pretty cool dude from the few times I've seen him around. I know a few guys that are from that gym and they're pretty much like a family with him. A lot of really great local fighters have come up with Master Song.
My AFC gave me an ABS CEL code of LOL while at WOT!

What kind of mouth guard do you guys use? I always had trouble with mouth guards making me gag. Looking for something less bulky.
If you don't want to splurge on a custom one, then this one is great. Once it's broken in, it fits great and offers solid protection. I use it primarily for grappling and it does the job. But if you are doing heavy sparring, you may want something a bit thicker.
Looking into starting up muay thai. What kind of gloves, wraps, and shinguards do you guys recommend?
Just use whatever wraps you can afford. I'd go for longer wraps as it'll provide more wrist and knuckle protection. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you get expensive ones, because they'll be all dirty and gross after
I went with Twins Special gloves and shin guards and they've worked well for me. I also have a Jaco jock short, which is the most comfortable jock short I've ever worn. You'll barely notice it when it's fitted properly
+1 for the Jaco jock short, the only thing is that the shorts are long and come out from underneath my top shorts
I use to like twins gloves but they broke in too easy for me and I didn't like the space inside the glove afterwards. I use Hayabusas at the moment and love them. Everyone has their preference mind you, just my two cents.
