Dog Salmon posioning

I froze salmon for 48 hours to kill the parasites before giving it to my dog but i'm quite paranoid now after reading how dogs can die from the parasite. I've never taken his temp before but taken from the ear it's 89F and it should be around 100-103F anyone ever dealt with a vet on this issue before? Any trust worthy vets who wont gouge me?

parasite is also bad for human, i'm pretty sure those for sale for human is good for dogs too.

other than chocolate i find that ppl are way to paranoid about wat they feed their cats and dogs these days. back in my parent's days dogs were raise on scrap food. sure its not as healthy but a piece of raw meat once in a while is not going to kill them, heck thats what they would eat in the wild, they would probably even eat dead and decaying corpses and get shitload of parasite and still won't just drop dead.

You can't take a dogs temperature from their ear. To properly take the temp you need to take the temp from the rectum. Word of advice get a person to help you hold the dog still. They do not like having this done. Freezing the salmon helps kill the growth of bacteria. If this was salmon meant for human consumption you don't have to worry.
