The way I see it is, stuff like this always gets outdated in a ridiculously short amount of time. If you're after the specs and the latest this and that, you'll always get left behind before you know it. So why not just get whatever looks and feels best to you? Software is the easiest thing to upgrade anyway. Can't wait to stick Sense UI on my X10 haha.
Strangely the interface on my gf's iPhone 3GS feels a lot crisper and smoother even though the CPU and ram are pants compared to that on my phone. Really speaks to how well Apple's optimized their UI.

Whenever I kill something it dies unless I reactivate it. Moxier only comes back if I open up my messaging apps. Quote:

How long have you had it? Mine dramatically improved after a couple of days. First couples days it could barely last a day. Now it's good for about 1.5 days.

Killing tasks on Android is stupid. Programs lay dormant when not being used, taking up only as much memory as they need. If a program is set to do things like sync every hour or whatever, of course it will start up again.
If you let it idle, it will just run that task every so often. If you kill the app, it has to run the app again when it goes to sync.. So really, using a task manager wastes battery life more than not using one.

the problem is though that program is still *ON* even though it's dormant. i don't care how much memory it's taking up coz it's not much, but the fact that it's "ON" it's draining my battery. like why the hell is ebuddy, market, mediascape etc still "ON" and dormant after you press exit? i find it stupid design flaw in android when i exit something.. i expect it to EXIT.. not lay dormant in the background doing unnecessary stuff. and when i run task manager. i also kill the task manager and only turn it on when i need it so technically it shouldn't take any battery life if any

after spending over an hr disassembling the x10 and replacing the entire housing + digitizer... i have one tiny lint on the inside of the screen that i didn't notice before putting it back together... FML..
and btw i can confirm 0.14 and 0.16 have a huge difference in battery life. i rebranded and switch to hk firmware running 1.0.14 and the battery life is bs lol..

Things like messengers, email checkers, etc of course have to be "on". But 99% of the programs you have installed will lay dormant and not use any CPU when cached.

Just remember if you have email, gmail, facebook, twitter, stocks, weather, msn or any other chat apps, all syncing regularly, they still use battery. But instead of shutting down the apps, just disable sync, or set longer intervals.

Zagg is good at protecting the phone from scratches, but the feel of it on the touch screen just ain't that great. It's very rough to the touch.

If you do this, you won't be able to get firmware updates from Sony. I have a Rogers X10a with X10i firmware and that's the case.
However, I've posted a way to get back to X10a firmware on XDA forum, which I got from one of the guys working on rooting the X10.

I checked out the X10 mini today, it's actually quite a neat little phone! It definitely could use a better firmware, but that is apparently coming by the end of the year. The screen sucks when you're used to AMOLED too.

Was fat-fingering an issue playing around with it?

The camera is by far amongst the best cameras on any phone out there at the moment. The picture quality in daylight is on par with regular point & shoots. In low-light it is a bit lacking (lots of noise in the picture). The LED flash doesn't help much since it causes the colours in the picture to be whitened and you have to manually turn on the LED light and keep it on while taking the picture (it doesn't flash on when u take the picture and then off after taking it). Screen
The 4" screen is the biggest you can get (aside from the HTC Evo 4G which is at 4.3"). The screen is crisp and clear. Great for watching videos. The viewing angle is pretty good. You can see the picture from almost any angle, but the colours do seem a bit washed-out as you view it away from center. The resolution is 854 x 480, which is higher than most phones (most are 800 x 480) except the iPhone 4G (960 x 640). Social Integration
This is the selling point of the phone with its Timescape and Mediascape applications. It allows you to view everything you have about a contact in one convenient location via their contact card or via the Timescape app: Facebook/Twitter statuses, Usual contact info, call log, SMS, email, photos of the person on your phone. You can also view Youtube videos of an artist or find other music by that artist via viewing the artists' "contact' card when you are playing their music.
These are the selling points and advantages I see for the X10.
