preparing for wind are they? |
Yeah but at the end of the day you're still stuck with their poor call quality and dropped calls. |
damn.....not a fido customer |
This doesn't include unlimited nationwide calling btw. That is the major difference between this and wind. |
seriously how many ppl are gonna call across the country non stop every month? nationwide calling imo is useless.. more towards older ppl with family in another province.. i mean seriously ask urself.. how often do you call ur friends in toronto or some other places? |
Well regardless, wind is skewing their words. U gotta be in wind zone to take advantage of everything Posted via RS Mobile |
what the fuck is this "wind zone" anyways |
^ It's a specific geographical area that you have to be covered under (i.e. Vancouver/Burnaby/Richmond etc.) |

How hard is it to understand? It's just like any other local calling zone. Just like on Fido, Rogers, Telus, Bell. City fido has "ZONES" too. |
^Cityfido is called "cityfido" for a reason. There is a reason why there was the "countryfido" option many moons ago As for zones, Windmobile is confusing in where coverage is considered "home zone" might not be covered. There are spots in Toronto in which you might think you are in the "homezone" but technically, you are roaming on another network. Local calling zones on Rogers and Bellus are easy to understand because you are covered where you are. Wind Mobile does not have the infrastructure to have you covered say if there was no network coverage in North Vancouver. you would be paying fees for making that "local" call there |
only if that $50 plan included data.. $80 seems a bit too steep for me, at the moment im paying $85 taxes in for 2 lines and i have data on one of them. |
hmmm, if i can get them to give me that plan without signing a contract I am down |
^ Only when we achieve world peace. |
yeah winds website is really obscure with the details, like their Long Distance deal for $5 a month.. it doesn't say that its $5 a month for 1country of your choice and $0.05/min for the actual call had to search around for that as for Home and Away zones, the pricing seems to be identical anyway (per minute that is) |

So wing is STILL > fido. I'd rather pay an extra $5 with wind for Unlimited everything and get national calling and unlimited text in Canada AND the US. Not to mention i'd be glad to pay that extra $5 just to tell fido CSA's to fuk themselves. Edit: it looks like this plan gives you free unlimted calling within a city when you are in that city like countryFido. But still no unlimited text to USA. In the end what does this tell us? that fido/rogers had the ability to offer this before but chose not to hahaha. I still want to see what their roaming fees will be in the US. Wind is 25cents a minute. thats real cheap compared to the $5 i got charged for talking for 3 minutes on fido. |

the Proven reliability of Rogers/Fido/Bell/Telus and HSPA/UMTS or the one of two AWS networks in the world? Once again, i'd like you to pay attention to the name of the two fido plans CITYfido and COUNTRYFido Every carrier has the ability to come up with any offer, but you can't undercut the competition when the companies in play is based on how many customers you have. Once the dog decides to offer this, Bell will follow and so will telus, the undercutting means no change its like you have 4 pop machines lined up, one decides to charge the pop for 95c instead of a buck, in short term, the cheaper one will gain more consumers and money. a day later, the remainng 3 decides to charge 95c again, we are back to square one |
