Best Dog Surgeon

My 1 yr old Pitbull tore her ligament on both legs. Anyone know of a good orthopedic surgeon? So sad because she is such a good girl and so cute.

there is a vet hospital just off boundary near lougheed/broadway. its behind the mcdonalds, next to the harley davidson building. i dont remember the name, canadian vet hospital or something, but they are highly reconmended by several pet owners.

we were directed there about a month ago from our regular vet. he noticed that titan, our dog was walking very stiffly. upon exam and xrays, he found his rear legs were weak due to the knee caps not being in place. we were then directed to that vet hospital and upon some research, found other ppl that reconmended them as well.

titan is now in his first week of recovery after having 1 knee surgery done (so far). the diognosist is that he was born with bad rear legs. the ligament (sp?) was not formed right and thus the knee cap grew out of place. we never considered pet insurance, but should have as his surgery for 1 knee is costing 4 grand.

Canada West. There are many specialists working there. I have no personal experience with torn ligaments though, so can't personally recommend any vets.
