iPad installed in a car http://www.spike.com/video/ipad-turned-into/3370089 |
what's the point of that? |
no idea... i wonder how the whole sound system sounds |
thats pretty cool too bad the ipad is too wide to retrofit =( |
crazy, it actually looks good! |
yea does look pretty good so much work though to get proper audio output, not worth it at all for your average user |
I think it looks pretty sick.. definitely a pretty cool idea |
Big screen google map. |
That is sweet. |

i would definitely do this over a carputer or like what i have a 7" lcd dvd player very cool |
omg..that was good. It would be perfect with 3G internet. It's more convenient than a laptop so it's like a first in car w/ internet computer. With control of speakers and access to google maps, I bet this kind of upgrade would cost 1000$. The setback would be that glossy screen..it would be nice if you could do a matte coating to avoid that glaring screen |
this is so cool |
I've had carputers in my cars for 10 years and I always wished there was something that was easy to install like this but I don't think I'd ever use this interface in a car. It's just way too complicated to use while driving. Carputers still have the advantage, you get to choose your interface, you can get better sound quality with better components if you want and you can run full blown programs instead of apps. |
this is nice! too bad it wont fit most coupes or sedans... |
that would get jacked so fast. cool though, for sure. |
I thought the ipad only works on wifi? If that's the case then most of it's functions would only work in wifi range, which doesn't help you when you're driving. I like the idea, that's exactly how a carputer should work, but seems like all it's good for is the ipod function. |
