Oh, just so that there's no confusion, I meant I'm most likely playing there tonight.

Won't be playing tomorrow night, since I'll be going to the Canucks game...

sorry, i actually can't make it tonight. going to the burnaby tennis club courts at 7. they have lighted courts too so we'll be playing longer over there.

we'll definitely play each other sometime. RS tennis meet! probably QE Park is our best bet, since they have 20 courts over there.

you're a babolat fan and i'm a head fan. i tried the pure drive before and it didn't work out for me. a lot of really good juniors use the roddick stick though, so that's good promotion right there. i'm using the liquidmetal instinct but i like the microgel radical. i don't see a point in buying a new racquet if i'm happy with the one i have now.

It's all good.

Yeah, I go to Burnaby Lake to play until 11:30pm in the summer... haven't gone this year yet though.

Blah... haven't felt very good the last two times I played... feels like I've taken a step back with my backhand. Need more work on it.

Does anyone know what the cost for restringing at Tad's usually is? I need to get my racquet restrung. Been using the same string for 3 years. I am a 2.0-2.5 player =\

It depends on the string, but it usually costs around $30 a racket.

Yea, it costs money for the strings then it costs money for the labour. You're looking at around 25-40 bucks depending on what quality of strings. If you are a 2.0-2.5 player, you probably don't need super expensive strings so prob 25-30 bucks.

Man, felt good to hit yesterday. Forehand is consistent again but didn't try hitting winners etc... and I still need to get my two-handed backhand back... I had some weak topspin ones and resorted to using slice returns which slowed the game down.. But I'm happy I got my 2nd serve 100% back! Gotta try my 1st serve + forehand winners tomorrow woot woot.

Woot, just used the SportChek Friends and Family discounts to get some strings + grip! Hopefully the courts are dry tomorrow so I can get some hits in!
My friend also picked up the Wilson Surge, not really into Wilson rackets, but I must say it feel's great.

Surge is basically just basically a copy of the Babolat Pure Drive, isn't it?

everyone is resting for the tourney and the rain caused my match to be delayed for 2 days already. if anyone wants to rally a bit today, let me know. i just need to keep myself from being rusty for my match!

Would love to, but have dinner plans, so at best would only be able to rally for about an hour until dark starting from like 8pm. Maybe I'll just go hit against the wall... haven't played for a week.

Kind of bummed that Federer got ousted from the French Open today.

I was too late for the sign up, but quite a number of my friends are in the 5.0 singles category. (were juniors)

i feel bad for some of them, unless they're actually 5.0 level. all juniors this year can't compete below 5.0. so if you're a beginner, you still have to register for 5.0. hopefully your friends are amazing.
