SFU to Langara/other colleges

Has anyone from SFU taken a course at a college while concurrently attending SFU? Or simply decided to take courses at college for a semester or two before going back?

There's a course I want to take that requires a co-requisite that I don't need/want, but the equivalent course at Langara requires nothing. I'd rather not spend an extra $400 at SFU so I'm strongly considering taking a few courses at Langara so long as the process isn't too difficult with grades and what not.

You'll have to ask for permission from SFU.

As far as I know, you'd have to have a pretty good valid reason for them to let you.

May I ask which course?

You need a really good reason for them to approve. You apply with this form
http://students.sfu.ca/forms/LoP.pdf

Basically they want your money.

I think you need to do more research. To get credit for Stat 270 at SFU, you need to take Stat 2281 at Langara. In order to take Stat 2281 at Langara, the prerequisite, as opposed to SFU only making it a co-requisite, is Calc II.
