N900 looks great...but the design is heavy and thick. I have been playing around with it on Saturday, it is as smooth as a 3GS for a $510cdn phone, that's not bad, but I still prefer a x10 |
N900 can be have for $450 brand new (which is what I bought for). X10 sure is a better phone than N900, but N900 is more of a computer with phone feature. Things I found better on N900. 1. Fast email/multiple email setup. It automatically checked all mails when connected. Setup is easier than Android (Android is simple enough, but N900 does even better imo) 2. more storeage space (32GB + 32GB, I have 16GB MicroSDHC currently) 3. True Linux kernels with x-termal. 4. Video out. 5. Divx playback without converting. 6. Real keyboard. 7. Better browser experience with vol key as zoom and backspace to go back to previous page. 8. Great intergration of picture sharing (picasaweb/facebook/youtube/msn). 9. Intergration of IM. It shows msn/yhoo, etc on-line status from your address book. I love X10 too. Mainly for the screen size, better LCD, design/size, available applications, camera. I am thinking about getting a X10 as well for my 2nd phone. :) |
I have been on the fence for a long time for the N900...But with the N8 features annouced today I will wait for that ....priced at $500 USD as well....seems like the better buy.....the design I am not 100% in favour of though.... X10 is nice though and I almost bought one the other day However I must stay loyal to Nokia |
as long as it's not Symbian.... LOL |
no NAM N900 eh? |
nokia lost me with n97. i wont consider n8 at all. n900 saved my royality to nokia, but i wont settle with symbian. symbian3 is still built on S60 as from n97. it's no where close to how maemo works. too bad they made n900 as a computer first, then put a phone on it. n900 is nam, but nam with aws 1700 for wind mobile. that's the sad part. but it is compensated with excellent smooth and fast wifi connectivity. for me, n900 is my company phone and i have my e71 with joikuspot as 3G wireless router, 3G is not a problem. if i m to get something else, nexus one or se x10 will get my business. hack, the keypad on n900 is 10x better than my n97. :p Posted via RS Mobile |

http://store.nokia.com/webapp/wcs/st..._-1_10000543_Y It's nice looking and great 12 hours of battery. But Atom kills it. It does have GPS integrated into it and Free Ovi map soon I guess. |
