Unlockable Phones

Hey guys, I'm trying to find out which phones can be easily unlocked so I can know which ones to look out for. So if anyone knows of a site listing such information, or just post up any phones that you know to be unlockable.

TIA

most phones can be easily unlocked via a unlock code (if its rogers/fido)

well that's convenient, how hard is it to find those codes?

not hard most places charge like 20 bucks to get that code...

however a while back there was free unlock codes for the blackberry

Hmm I'd rather DIY it all if I can, but $20 isn't too bad...

u r welcome. :) I thought everyone know about this already?

solo uses SIM? hmmm... didn't know that. :o

You have to read a little more. There are many different version and works for different phones.

Some of the newer one has the tiny chip thinner now so it won't be tight when you put the sim card in.

I had one before with Fido Z200 when iPhone just came out and it works no problem. Some of the SIM slot is very tight and this won't be a good choice.

This one is the popular for iPhone unlock back then. It might be better than the other one.

Yeah I just stumbled across it on their site, my buddy at Bell/Solo confirmed it for me but has no ETA on the cards actually coming in to him though. So I'm gonna phone in to CS this week. I'll try to find the SIM unlocker that covers the widest variety of phones as I don't know what I'll be getting yet (and testing it on my brothers iphone).

And no I'm pretty far behind tech-wise when it comes to phones, my old Solo phone is now...nearly 5 years old I think and the battery is toast, my parents got me a Samsung Slyde on Koodo for my birthday (not what I was wanting...) but the "plan" is way worse and the phone is seriously flawed (don't use them!).
