Now or Wait?

Im really itching for a new phone as my 8330 is literally starting to fall apart, doesnt keep much of a charge, and i'm just bored of it.
I'm on telus, and I guess im gonna go the the HSPA network despite more expensive plans + getting raped on charges in the states.

I've heard some rumors of the milestone 2 coming around end of q2 ish, but dont know if its actually coming to telus. Are there any other rumors of decent, and preferably droid phones coming to them?

If I were to get one now, it would definitely be the milestone (physical keyboard, 2.1, and apparently its a really good phone). However the phone is starting to get a little older, so I'd rather have something a little newer.

Any thoughts on if i should wait it out, or just grab the milestone?

TIA

milestone is nice but you have to remember that it can't be modded at the moment.

I'm in the same boat. I want something new but all the new androids have some major issues...

by modding it do you mean rooting it? Cause if so, im 99% sure that the milestone and the droid have been rooted successfully even after the 2.1 update

N1 doesn't work on the 3g bands iirc
Desire uses European bands and wont work.
incredible is CDMA and telus doesn't allow foreign esn's.

How much of an advantage can you get from custom roms? (never used android for more than a minute) Installing things like sense or motoblur on non htc/moto phones? Droid is out of the question also, CDMA and foreign ESN's arent allowed.

Just buy one now, and if something better comes along that you want, buy it and sell the one you had previously. Seems like a win / win.

Custom ROMs allow you to have different skins for the OS. It also optimizes the phones resources and makes it faster. You also have the option to overclock the phone too.

I agree with getting the Nexus One. You can get one from Google that has NAM 3G bands.
