| For people who dont' want Ethanol in their fuel
Saw a sticker at the Superstore on Lougheed that their Supreme grade has 0% ethanol.. which I assume they will be using some type of polyether amines.

Chevron 94
Shell 91
Superstore 91
Anybody know about Esso? And Mohawk/Husky has it in all their gas right?

cool story bro.
Chevron supreme is also 0% ethanol.
When I'm paying that bullshit carbon tax I want to burn some fossil fuel, that's why it's important.

i've noticed with using 89 octane gas that gasoline from chevron has lasted me a lot longer than gasoline from shell. Also there is a article from NGK about changing the spark plug gaps a little bit to do with ethanol fuel since its basically at every station now. So no regular fuel with no ethanol these days? i used to think petro canada was no ethanol for not having a stand out sticker until you look at the side of the pump..

Ethanol made my Vespas do nothing but run like a craptastic chunk of sheet metal and rot its seals.

ethanol slowly eats rubber seals and gunks up your fuel system because of it...

Not everyone needs a ton of power. For those who drive like grannies (such as myself) and don't need Chevron 94, there's nothing wrong with E85.
I'm too lazy to look up the specs on energy content per L or whatever but interestingly enough my mileage didn't seem to change at all when I swapped between E85 and regular gasoline in an experiment a while back. Most modern cars are designed to take E85 without dying anyways, so only older cars would have issues with hardening seals and gaskets. If you always drive your car like it's stolen then maybe it'll make a difference, but I wouldn't know.
**EDIT** the fuel I used for my experiment was E10 (ie Mohawk), not E85. Oops. With that said, I'd assume all modern vehicles (say 2005+) can handle E10 without any problems. The government isn't going to release something that has the potential to destroy 1/3 of the cars on the road after a couple of tanks.

^ Our gas is NOWHERE nearly E85
maybe E10....MAX
And if you drive a normal car on E85 you are gonna fuck it right up, E85 has completely different stoichiometric ratio hence a custom tuning or a "Flexfuel" system has to be developed to run it. Traditional fuel lines not designed for E85 also rapidly fail if subjected to E85.

When I went to Pt. Roberts to fill up, I asked the lady at the Chevron if their Supreme (92) gasoline contained ethanol. She said no.

Personaly, I like using ethanol blended fuels Iv been filling at husky/mohawk for a few years now. I feel it keeps my motor cleaner vs other brand fuels. Except in my dirtbike, that gets Chevron premium! Quote:
