Don't really car if it comes to bell or not. I'm with Rogers and I just signed on for another 3 years, so I won't be switching anytime soon. Bell version will probably just be the same as the T-mobile G2 version (same bands). Which also lacks the 850 3G band up here. I r sad now. Have HTC ever rereleased a phone with the NA 3G band after the initial release of a product?

Rumours from HTC rep are saying there is a qwerty keyboard android going to Bell and Bestbuy Internal computer shows cases for Desire Z

So it's most likely coming but don't know who is getting it yet

TOS'd the bell desire z is more than likely to be NAM, T-mobile bands and bell bands are not even the same if I remember them correctly. An example would be the HTC Desire. They released a euroasian version with 2100mhz and then Telus released their 850/1900mhz nam 3g version about two months ago. If you need proof I can see if I can take a picture of my unlocked desire from telus.

c3m 09-30-2010 05:36 PM

T-mobile 1700, which Wind uses in Canada.
Bell / Telus uses the same band was Rogers/Fido

JKam 09-30-2010 10:00 PM

desire Z sucks though. shitty processor.

TOS'd 09-30-2010 10:25 PM

damn it. i am so confused now. is there somewhere that clearly states the bands these companies use? ive been reading bell =/= rogers. or rogers also uses 1900 (and 850) and bell uses 1900 so they are the same. or 1900 is only in certain locations.

YMMV. The Telus website is no longer selling this phone to users without a contract. I was lucky and was able to buy mine directly through their website before they changed this. You might be lucky at the Metro Futureshop as that's where a few ppl got theirs from.

Well even if it comes out late Nov. you still have to see how lucky you are in being able to buy it off contract.

Wow they both look pretty damn good.

TOS'd 10-04-2010 10:36 AM

G2 already on the market. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/mob/1988277360.html

too bad it won't work up here on rogers or i'd pick one up asap.

Strzelec 10-04-2010 10:39 AM

Shit that white desire looks really nice. But if its made out of the same stuff as the other one, it will probably look like shit pretty quickly.

not true, there is a way around that...
1> select the desire phone
2> choose the rate plan (don't worry it is just temp input)
3> add to cart and go check out
4> under device will say HTC Desire and remove the rate plan

voila, the new price for the phone is $449...$503 taxes incl

hongy 10-04-2010 05:48 PM

$503.99 =D. I saw the white desire a few weeks back, hoping some store such as cnn or jpcellular will stock the white casing soon.

Don't bother unless you're really adventurous. It's a lot of work to take it apart. Especially the lcd/digitizer part.
