Sorry I was never all that great at english. What i meant was that I saw pictures of the leaked desire in white a few weeks back on gsmarena, and was hoping eventually I would be able to get a set of white OEM housing and put it on my phone. However I've seen "official" htc videos on how to take off the housing and well...doesn't look like it'll be fun.

Anyone having issues with launcherpro? I lost the notification popups (little numbers on red bg) on the messenger icon for when I get new sms. I have no idea why I'm having so many issues with the phone.

Looks neat.. but if it doesn't have a built in dock type connector it's not much use.

You have to loop your usb cable into it.

Yeah but I don't want to fuss around with a cable. If I were buying something like that I'd rather just drop it in.

BTW the app Market is now open to more countries.. Did Canada work before? I know they just added Hong Kong yesterday. First app I bought was Beautiful Widgets, after removing the pirated version I had to use :)

Can't wait! Hopefully this is true and the Desire Z we get up here is the Euro version with our bands, instead of the limited T-mobile G2 version (no htc sense, etc).

If that screenshot is right. The Bell Desire Z has to be NA bands. Seeing as the phone won't work with Bell otherwise lol. One thing that I'm not liking is the "efuse" that HTC has implemented. Meaning it will automatically prevent you from rooting/loading aftermarket firmwares onto the phone. If it detects modifications it will restore a copy from the phone's ROM. I'm sure it'll probably be hacked in the near future. Just not liking where this is heading. Also I've heard things about hinge problems: loose/wobbly/etc.

That being said if the Desire HD were available I'd be all over that :)

^ I know it has to be NA bands, thats why I said (euro version with our bands). And since Bell, Rogers, Fido, Tellus, all use the same bands, it would just need to be unlocked for me to use it on Rogers.

The hinge problem should be fixed by the time its released. A lot of the first batch G2's for t-mobile have the problem but the newer second batch ones are all fixed.

Is anyone using it their desire on fido? I need the mms settings, I've tried the nexus one settings I googled and the settings darthchilli posted in the galaxy s thread and I can't get it to work.

I've tried those settings before but for apn type i left it blank, this time I typed in default. However even with these settings I can't send mms. How much are you guys paying a month? I'm planning to cut my mms since it is costing me $5 a month.

btw the error that pops up is that there is a generic network failure

Try combining the APN for mms and 3G. Worked for me. Just make sure you change the APN type to internet + mms.

It also took a couple of days for my mms to start working for some reason. They would not send when I first set the apn.

Any of you run the Desire unlocked on Rogers? If so, how's the 3G speeds? Any connection problems?

I'm planning on copping an A8182 unlocked from somewhere and running it on Rogers since the Sense UI seems pretty cool to me.

I doubt there are any unlock codes out since the phone isn't even out yet. I remember for my desire I had to wait about 5 days after I bought it because the sites me and some other users were using didn't have the codes yet.

Would the G2 unlock codes work for this? Cause that has been out for a little while now. Essentially the same phone, but worse thanks to T-mobile.
