Yeah I posted about my experience with trying to buy it out right in the other thread, just purchase it on the telus site and you can get it for the $450 or at least that is what the person at the telus store said. I'm going to try bestbuy either today or tmr morning.

Best buy was sold out so I went over to futureshop. Costed $503.99 however since it's not on contract it's final sale. I basically walked in and paid for it.
Futureshop by metro (kingsway) They said the first 5 units were reserved for contracts only, which is why they told me final sale for mine. The only bad thing atm is no damn cheap unlocks, i've heard of people getting their phones unlock through ebay but the price went form $30-$50- and now it's at $70.
God damn it, this is the phone I wanted months ago back when I got my X10!! Hahaha I wish I waited now. =p

I'm just gonna spend the day google goggling everything possible. so far it's been a 50% fail rate. Have you found a good case/screen protector yet?

1. Download all needed files (radio, rom, latest unRevoked)
2. Plug phone into computer and set to disk drive
3. Run unRevoked and let it do its thing
4. Phone will reboot and no should be rooted (if it boots till black screen either let it sit for like 5 mins or remove/replace battery and reboot)
5. Phone should now be rooted and have Superuser Permissions App installed
6. Download Rom Manager form Market
7. Run Rom manager and install latest Recovery
8. Run Rom manager and install radio, phone will reboot a couple of times
9. Run Rom manager and install rom (I used hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741775 ), phone will reboot a couple of times
10. Once rebooted and setup is complete 3g might not work, if not you need your APN settings added in
Well skinnypupp said he's using a generic front screen protector and it works fine, with no decrease in the screen's touch abilities. I"m thinking of just getting the one you posted up as it's cheaper then a momax, martin fields, and the invisible shield. Are you planning to cover the back? I link the rubbery feel to it but don't want to accidentally scratch it or anything.

How long does it take for your phone to charge all the way up. Mine has been charging for over 2 hours already, and it's around 50% full?
^I'm typing from it now. I think I got home and charged it for about 3 hours to get a basically full battery, bit I still gotta do the mandatory full new phone charge. The plastic on the desire feels so soft I don't want it to be exposed, but my main concern with the 3m skin was that it would effect the touch screen. If skinnnypup said it doesn't then that's dope.
