The desire gets 720p trough the froyo update but um guessing we can't get that after we unlock the phone without rooting the phone. Yeah the codes taking longer then I thought, They said Monday at the latest so hopefully by tonight I'll be switching from my docomo phone to something that won't die on me in my own home. Yup works on fido as well, no data plan or mms so can't do any of that yet but I"m assuming it all works. bacon did you order that shield?

Yeah I just went to a Telus dealer and they were being an ass about it. Oh we need to activate it for you so we get reimbursed for the hardware. I'm like wtf is the point of no contract price then. I'm not signing a contract anyways. They're like oh it's because we get them at a subsidized price and we'd have to charge an extra $150 on top. I'm wanting to paying full price so it's not subsized lol. Going to Futureshop today. If that fails I'll just order online.

From what I've read at this point it might just be better to order it through the telus website, you don't have to deazl with any bullshit contract talk, and shipping is free+fast. As for the froyo update, I THINK you have to root it and do it yourself since we're not really on the telus network anymore.

Rooting and Flashing froyo is easy. Just goto XDA and read the forums.
Yeah I'm gonna hit up FutureShop downtown to try my luck. Otherwise I'll order from the Telus website. Then I'll go rub it in that dealer's face haha j/k
