Watched it Mandarin with Eng subs. Subs weren't that bad. I thought Ip man 2 was better than 1. The Cantonese version won't be out for a while...

it's obvious that Ip Man 3 is going to be coming out... but Donnie Yuen says he is not going to act as Ip Man.... Nooooooooooooooooo! "With the recent surge of Yip/Ip Man related film projects coming up in the pipeline, Donnie Yen has told the Chinese media that after Ip Man 2, he will no longer play the Wing Chun master anymore.
...I would never ever touch any films related to Ip Man. This will be my final film (Ip Man 2) on the subject. Whenever something becomes a success, everyone would jump on the bandwagon, this is very frightening. Did you know how many Ip Man films are in production? Under such condition, we would not progress, it'd only lead to over-saturation of the subject matter.

I think he's just saying that shit so he gets more $$ in the next movie.
Donnie Yen is in way too many movies now. 14 Blades, Ip Man 2, Legend of the Fist, Bodyguards and Assassins, etc etc.
The one movie franchise he should've kept milking was SPL and Flashpoint. At least theres no historical character to limit what the character can do.

I totally recommend watching Ip Man 2 if you watched Ip Man 1.
I must agree the final fight was truly epic.
Canto version is already out
