| Lordco parts are any good?
just wundering if these are any good for import cars?
i dont know because i never bought anything in the past for any of my cars. but im a budget and lordco seems to be pretty cheap.
Im not going to be taking my car to the track or anything to extreme, so i dont really need the exspensive high performance.
Are lordco in house brand and good compared to stock parts? or how are they comepared to the lower end aftermarket parts..
the parts in asking are brakes, Rotors and Pads to be specific.
but if these are bad and will break on me within weeks, then obviously i wouldnt want them.. if they can last 1-2 years or more then its good for me.
Thanx for those have acutally used the lordco parts...

Find a specific brand of the part that you want, research in google the performance of that part.
For example, Hawk Brake pads. You can't just label a store as selling good or shitty parts. That being said, Lordco stuff will be fine as long as you make sure its OEM spec.

im not talking about aftermarket parts that lordco resells...
im simply asking if anyone on here has bought the lordco brand parts themselves and how is it...
and then people fails me for asking a question... wow.. strange.. maybe i should jsut start failling everyone for just posting? ? Quote:

the sell parts. good and shitty parts. It all depends on the brand and price. I've used them, been satisfied, but they seem more on the expensive side..

You may get half a dozen shitty waterpumps, but then have absolutely zero issues with timing belts. Apart from a single lower control arm ball joint, I've never had any issues with Lordco's in-house parts.
Other people may tell you a different story.

1. Offshore made rotors may be made from lower quality steel.
2. A lot of vented rotors, although the correct thickness, have less mass. The vents are wider and the braking (disc area) is thinner. In brakes, more mass = better.
Both are more susceptible to warping, glazing and overall poor braking performance.
I just bought a set of OEM brakes for a friend's '02 Highlander.
Lordco rotors ($40ea) and Bendix pads ($90) = $170
Brembo rotors ($130ea) and Bendix pads ($90) = $350
OEM Toyota rotors ($90ea) and OEM Toyota pads ($90) = $270
The original brakes lasted 65,000km and 8 years.
I actually could've machined the rotors and just installed new pads but this was more convenient for him.

even brake parts you can get a variety of brands from lordco....they usually carry many brands for the exact same part
for example you can get some lordco brand brake rotors that are made in china or get a set of Brembo blanks for the exact same application also made in china
and then you can get becklarney or something brake master cylinder and fenco or lordco
the key is they are all made in china rofl. But if you know the jobber parts market well and buy the right parts then they are ok. If not then u might get some crap from them.

im pretty much not looking for high performance parts. i wont be taking my car to the tracks, i dont street race. i usually drive street limit speeds... my car is only a mode of transportation to/going from work mostly.
so i dont see myself willing or afford all the high end performace parts jsut for driving to work. At the same time i dont want to buy something that wont even last a month. if the cheap stuff can last me around 2 years then im happy. I know its gona be a hit and miss with parts, even with the high end name brand stuff.
THANX guys for the info.
