So my car got towed... I have a front wheel drive car. From what I recall, it should be towed with the front wheels up (or flatbed truck). Now, seeing as I had parked my car in a parkade where I drove into the parking spot and in front of me is a wall, how can the tow truck get to my front wheels? Does that mean when they would have just hooked up the tow to the back of my car to move it... damaging the transmission? When I get my car and start driving, will I be able to tell right away if my transmission is wrecked? I'm picking up my car at lunch and would like to know if I can scream at the company or not for wrecking my car. |
If any damage occurred to your transmission it would be to your parking pin. So if your car goes into park with no issues and stays in park and hold the car on a hill then thats about as far as you can check for damage without removing the transmission and inspecting the parking pin. |
Ask if they used dollys for the front wheels... Posted via RS Mobile |
thanks phil and lomac.... i will definitely ask and hope they don't lie... and test out the parking break. |
