I hate Richmond with an absolute passion but I’ll be driving down from Port Moody. Nothing happened in Richmond last year or the years previous. Just don't drive like an ass and you'll be fine. You guys have no idea how much work is involved to put on a meet like this and finding a suitable lot + the negotiations to rent the lot so don’t be a bitch by complaining about the location.

It'll be my first time driving into Richmond, so I might as well make it count.

See y'all there.

whats with the bitching about the cops? how about the two years we had it at the 6rd silver city? did they set up a roadblock to hand out VI's then? no, i didn't think so.

man up guys. shoei goes through a lot of trouble to set this up for us every year. the least you could do is show up to show your support...

This is gonna be awesome! Right off the Knight street bridge is perfect. Pop over the bridge, hang out for a few hours then pop back into Van!

Thanks for organizing the event location once again !SG, now I just gotta decide which car to bring....

Tried looking on google maps, and i think I have a good idea where it is. Still not 100% though. Will wait for a map.

BTW Does transit run near by? I plan on bussing. Yes, no car for me, and im not extremely familiar with streets in richmond.

I hope that there's a group of people who wil set up near the entrance/exit spots to catch all of the cars entering and leaving. I prefer cars in action over sitting cars.

I'm certainly not complaining about the location, as I know it's not easy finding a spot that can -or is willing- to hold us.

I definately appreciate all the work that goes into putting this together.

As I said before, I have no problems with cops handing out V.I's to cars that deserve them (we all know the ones), and I especially don't mind them ticketing the asswipes who think it's cool to drive like retards.

My only fear is any innocent people getting pinched in the process.
I don't think this has ever been an issue before, and I hope it continues.

Either way, I'm there

I can't believe you guys own cars that you won't drive into certain parts of the city. That's hilarious.

The 407 and 430 go by there for sure if the routes havent changed from when I used to bus.

It's where Ikea, McDonalds, Future Shop, Starbucks, Vancouver Lighting and Home Depot is.

Right off the Knight Street Bridge turn right at the first light, which will be Sweden Way. It's literally like 3 seconds from when you get off the highway to the traffic light.

True Story: I got pulled over once and the cop noticed my Revscene.net sticker and commented on us being a great bunch of people, chatted with me for about 5 minutes and let me go.

I think the only time there was ever a problem involving police was during the RS Spring meet where some goofball Mustang owner decided it was a great idea to do a burnout in front of people walking around in a parking lot full of cars.

Oh, and he mouthed off a cop too!

^ Talk about mustang owners... We were on our way to fireworks yesterday when we saw like 4 to 5 cobras/mustangs ripping it on the street, pulling dangerous moves and cutting off traffic. Their straight-pipe exhausts are deafening loud! Not to stereotype, but the owners are the typical douche-bags.
I hope assholes like them don't show up to the meet and ruin it for everybody else.

According to the Google Maps, there are a pair of bus stops right by the parking lot.

I might not be able to bring the car this year, because this happened:

Bunch of asshole kids in my neighborhood holed the windshield, dented the passenger front door/roof, and destroyed driver's side mirror.

Just a quick question: About what time do people show up at the earliest? I know that the meet starts at 11 but I want to be early so I can take pics of cars entering.

At the Spring Meet, I showed up around 9:30-10AM, and only the mods/set-up crew and myself were there. IIRC, around 10:45 was when the Honda crews started rolling in as a group, by 11 EVERYONE was showing up.

I'll be going early, so if I show up before the mods, I'll be a bit surprised.

ps. the Night Market parking lot is that triangle-shaped one on Google Maps right? Just want to be sure for myself and possibly anyone else not familiar with the area.
