Well, I doubt they will bother say... a Gallardo, Carrera GT, F430 with straight pipes.... they might even stop, pull out their cellphones to capture a nice exhaust vid of those cars lol. I hope they nick those bloody stock, beat up cars with nothing more than an ebay muffler, chrome rims and plastic wings. Loud as hell but the bloody car still crawls at bicycle speeds. |
I've already gotten 3 police reports because of my exhaust, and now its going to be tougher? i blame conservative area's like the North Shore for haters. |

^they think they are 'cool' |
^ indeed, its a shame they dont realize it sounds like ass |
^ agree with that shit but for real, what if we were all drivin ferraris then i guess they would have to mute the ferraris now too eh? |

if today a stock car comes 100 DB from the factory, the cops will say PASS, if today a guy mods his car to 94db the cops gonna anal him. basically anything stock, you get a green go ahead no matter how ridiculously it is. same thing with hid, factory hid is ok. How is it not ok when i take from another factory's projector and retrofit into mine, with the proper aim and alignment....the cops gonna say ILLEGALLLLLL becuz it didnt come from the factory. its like wtf |
Interesting...so does anyone know what is the supposedly legal dB for exhaust right now? |
i think 87 to 90 db? somewhere around there |
well if you are correct...according to: http://www.wordinfo.info/words/index/info/view_unit/620 that means that if your car is not louder than: police whistle, heavy traffic, truck traffic, noisy home appliances subway-rail train, pneumatic drill [or hammer] at one meter, walk-man ear phone [average volume], rock drill at 100 feet, some motorcycles at 25 feet, shouted conversation. you are fine haha |

Harleys are fucking it up for everyone hope I can argue that TRD is stock |
for motorcycles, the sport bike pipes are fine IMO, but the harleys are damn straight annoying. |
+1 for the Harleys. How can the drivers tolerate them in the first place. They'r wearing beanies so they can hear everything. I'm surprised Harley riders arent all deaf. |
Find me one factory car that does 100DB u imbecile. Quote:

There should just be a legal noise limit regardless of engine power size or exhaust size. Exhaust restrictions beyond noise should be handled by emissions compliance and testing. Real regulation thats easy to implement and it puts the onus on the manufacturers and their engineers to make sure shit is legit. Having a sliding scale based on engine output and size is as stupid as having a sliding scale for speed limits. |

^ true, considering how retarded our speed limite is 30km around new westminster.....wat a joke |
if you have an loud aftermarket exhaust....how hard is it for you not to be a giant douche bag and drive at a low RPM? when driving streets like Robson, granville, columbia and any other heat source, keep it low, keep it quiet and if you get nailed you have only yourself to blame use common sense...don't be prick and drive around at 4K all the time and you will be fine i have an off road H + flowmasters and its stupid loud between 2500-5000 RPM but if i lug it below 2000 it's muffled and barely noticed |
Blah, these guys just have nothing else better to do now. |
