Yeah I'm thinking either I should wait or get a 9700 soon.
I'm hearing the keyboards really small and a lot harder to type on?

I think BB9000 is the best, keyboard is bigger and all you need to do is load up OS 5 and you are game.

BB9800 does look interesting though, will have to wait until Rogers get theirs hands on it.

bb's keyboard is great and all, but if bb wants to seriously compete int he consumer market, they really need to stray away from the all business and no fun image they have right now. some people get the bb fro the keyboard but that is hardly an exclusive market, other phone makers like nokia also makes great phone with keyboards.

Now alot of people buy iphone simply because its fun, they don't care really care if some serious business part of the phone isn't perfect (ie, reception, phone function etc) because there is a million other distraction in the form of apps that makes them overlook the mistakes. iPhone may not be the most perfect phone or the most perfect one but its is arguably the funniest and that attracts everyone from the teenager to the hipsters to the business man who wants some off time from being all serious.

but i guess bb fans and apple fans will always be enemy. bb fans would always go "but bb does this and this and this and this better, and it has this and this email features and bbm and you can forward you sms to multiple ppl etc" while the iphone folks are more like "meh so what, my phone can make fart sound in different frequency"

I want the 9800, I really do. Only problem is that I fear OS 6 having the same challenges as previous versions. This whole business of application memory limiting the size of applications, and the number that I can install. Yes, the half gig of ram will help but it doesn't solve the fact that the OS is just built on top of an ageing platform.

I love my bold, but the build quality and the OS are driving me away from the platform. That being said, this is the first slider with a keyboard that doesn't look like it's a palm pilot from the 90's.

it's currently being announced... Aug 12th is the date AT&T gets it and I think it won't be long before Rogers gets their hands on this but it's not as sexy as you'd expect. PalmPre housing with OS 6? .....
